Description:
1970 Mercury Marauder
Only 2660 of these made in 1970. This was in storage in a garage of an elderly man since 1989. Title is dated 1976. Runs good and lot drives but has no brakes. Has new points, plugs, and wires. Ignition switch only cranks it once in a while, so I jump the relay. Shows 42900 miles but not sure if that is real. Has inspection parks and part numbers in engine compartment, and still has the cad plating in the carb. Totally original. The last owner bought it in 1976 used after a minor left quarter panel hit. Has had a quarter skin and has been been repainted. Clean trunk with 2 small holes the size of a marble. Roof has some holes rusted under the vinyl top. Is still solid, but has some holes that need to be filled. Hood and trunk lid under frame have some rust and rear lower panels have some also. Floor is solid, but has some small eraser sized holes in the very bottom flat section on driver side. Would be a great resto rod project or cruiser. 429 motor runs well and does not smoke. Has donut gasket leak on passer side manifold. Jeff 319-931-7141Vehicle Details:
