1979 Mercury Grand Marquis Colony Park

Up for auction is a 1979 Mercury Colony Park with 72,000 original miles. Vehicle was purchased new by the famous songwriter and composer Irving Berlin. The car was mostly garaged at his summer house in the Catskills.Vehicle is equipped with a 5.8 (351 Windsor) 2 barrel, utomatic, ir conditioning, ower driver seat,power steering, ower brakes, ower door locks, ower windows, m/fm stereo. It doesn't have the rear kiddies seats its a storage compartment. The optional equipment works properly. The a/c will need a charge and the power door locks work intermittently.Vehicle has has some body work over the years. Vehicle is solid and in very good condition. The paint is in nice condition. There is some minor blistering under in a couple of places under the di-noc see pics, ther than those areas the di-noc is in very good condition. The moldings are in excellent condition. The undercarriage is solid and in very good condition.The interior is in excellent overall condition.
Vehicle runs and drives well. The carburetor does occasionally seem to flood up and then clears out. I believe the carb needs to be rebuilt, ut I have used and driven the car locally. Vehicle has test pipes as the original catalytic were clogged and were removed. Calipers, ear wheel cylinders have recently been replaced.
