Up for sale we have a 1963 Mercury Monterey Convertible. This is an all original drivetrain car that has only had 1 repaint. In the paragraphs to follow we will give a brief description of the exterior, nterior, nd driveline of the Mercury, ut first we would like to tell you a little about us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee. We are family owned, perated, nd own our entire inventory, o consignments, nd only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So, hat's how we can sell for less than other dealers. We will start off with the exterior of the Monterey. The body is laser straight with great lines. The panel fit is also very good and all the stainless lines up well. This car has only 1 repaint and it was redone in the factory Sultana White that has a deep riche shine. The paint is accented by the Power White top that has the red boot for when it's down. Also, t comes with factory fender skirts and hub cabs. All the glass is good and the side windows work as they should. One of the nicest touches for the Mercury is the Continental kit with the covered spare tire and chrome exhaust tips.
Next, e will take a look on the inside of Convertible. On the inside of this Mercury it's all very well taken care of. We were told that at the time of the resto they left all the original interior in the car. It's done in Red that makes for a killer accent to the all-white exterior. When you look at the dash it's all correct down to the AM radio that still works. The instruments are also working and look very good with clear lenses.
Finally, e will take a look at the driveline of the Mercury. When you look under the hood you'll see the original 390 V8 that is mated to the original MercOMatic Auto trans and the Original 9" Rear End. The engine bay is looks just like it would have when it was new down to the factory breather. This Monterey does come with Power Steering and Power Brakes that are drum. When you look under this Mercury the floors and frame are original and all appear rock solid.
