I'm selling this car for my brother in law. The car is actually a 1982 (the first year that Mercedes made this model) but it was not imported to the USA till 1985. So to get the listing to go through on eBay, had to list this 1982 as a 1980. The car has a German Vin# WDB12604412002166That German Vin # is not compatible with eBay's input page for car details. eBay does not require a Vin # for cars 1980 and before, ence why it was listed at 1980. This car has been insured since new and the German Vin # is never a problem. The insurance company will list it as a "Grey Market" car. This is where certain cars get listed that are not imported to the USA.
There are VERY VERY few of these in the country. My brother in law got this car from his grandfather who bought it new in 1982 and brought it back from Germany himself!
