I am pleased to offer this gorgeous 1969 Euro Mercedes 280SL. Car features 4 speed manual trans., complete documentation, ultra low 55,000 miles, one owner history (until 2021). Car also features its factory applied original Signal Red paint with the exception of the hood and trunk which have been repainted. VIN # is 130983-10-002679.

Background:

Original owner ordered the car while he was stationed in Saudi Arabia Sept. 1968. He then picked up the Mercedes November 27, 1968 in Germany. He used the car a short time in Germany (German registration in the file). He then moved to Texas and had the car shipped there.

Along with the car are the tools, a few parts, manuals and books, plus a package containing all original paperwork from buyer’s order in Arabic to telegram confirmation to bill of laden. Original bill of sale and all Mercedes purchase documents, including the radio papers. The car had been stored in a garage from the mid-1980s until October 2015. The hood and trunk paint was coming off the aluminum, so owner did a matching patina paint job. The rest of the cars paint is mostly original.

Engine is still original because of low miles.
