This is an early model 350 SL 4.5 Liter V8, 3 speed automatic hard top convertible with the short elegant Euro bumpers.Nice chrome shifter carried over from the 280 SL, and manual windows. The chassis number is 10704412001610.The factory date shows 10, (October) 1971The factory steel wheels have the original chrome hubcaps in nice shape. The windshield is original and has some chips.The sticker on windshield appears to be from the Seattle Yacht Club.The two rear view mirrors are in good shape. The hard top has the original aluminum stand, original soft top is present.The headliner is nice and dash has no cracks.The red paint was done by previous owner and shows spots and age. There is no corrosion under doors, sills or anywhere.The trunk has spare wheel, jack, manuals and tool kit.I have owned the car for 5 years never driving in wet conditions and only filling with ethanol free gas,during those 5 years we did the brakes, master cylinder, water pump, chain tensioner, shocks, exhaust manifold gaskets, injection hoses, heater valve, radiator flush, spark plugs and wires, power steering hoses, muffler, exhaust rear end. The tires were replaced in 2022 and a new battery in 2024. The V8 engine has a lot of power being the early 4.5 liter V8 M117 motor with no catalyst.Power was rated at 230 HP in 1972.The engine oil is German spec MoS2 Liqui Moly 10-40. The tire pressure is 30 front 36 rear.The early cars, 72 and 73 had more power than later models. Original current Mileage is 93393.We did not work on AC system, The AC Delco type compressor is not expensive and a new filter dryer is among the parts in the trunk.A Becker Europa radio was sourced to replace modern one and to keep interior original. The radio is not connected.The previous owner replaced the MB tex seats, carpets, fuel tank and fuel pump.Remaining issues are no instrument lights at night due to electrical panel problem and exhaust leakon passenger side exhaust manifold needing attention.Clean Louisiana title.
