The car needs cosmetic restoration and has been stored and not been driven much at all in the 30 years I have owned it. It will need sorting out for it to be regular driver. This car will end being a very solid vehicle when completed. Finding a rust and accident free car of this model is very difficult. The only rust is light surface where the paint is thin. The car was bought new in California.Mechanically the car is good. It starts good, even in very cold weather. It idles and runs good and drives good. The cooling system works properly and the car runs cool. The clutch is wonderful. The 4-speed transmission shifts properly and smoothly. The steering is correct and steers properly. The brakes have been gone through including a new master cylinder and hoses. The hydraulic clutch master and slave cylinders are new. I bought this Mercedes 30 years ago from a lady who’s husband had passed away and it has pretty much been stored since then. She told me her husband had a local Mercedes shop perform an engine rebuild, I have no receipt, but it runs like it.The generator and charging system work properly. The gauges and speedometer work properly. The brake lights and headlights are not working but I have done nothing to diagnose them which has not been an issue since I am not using the car. I can’t imagine that sorting those out would be much of an issue.Cosmetically it needs work. The seats and headliner are good. You can see the dash looks old. No rust. No collisions.This Mercedes comes with a clear California title. Shipping or picking up of the car is the responsibility of the buyer.
