1982 Mercedes 240D. Needs work but does run and drive

1982 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series 240d

I'm selling my daily commuter. There is a laundry list that this car has need fixing. However it does run and drive! Mpg is about 26-29.

So here's the run down:

4 speed manual windows with A/C. A/C does work expect in the hottest (90+ degrees) conditions. But its all there. Transmission likes to pop out of gear 1st and 3rd mostly. But I commute mostly highway and 4th gear is fine. I have a spare transmission that came with car when I bought it. Condition of the spare transmission is unknown and is included in this car listing.

I had to remove the ignition tumbler because I lost the only ignition key. So you start it with a screwdriver and shut it off with either a vacuum pump or the under hood manual shut off. Also because I lost the key it also fit the trunk. So I disabled the trunk latch so you can still access the trunk. You just can't latch and secure it. The door has a separate key and you can lock up all doors. The key for the doors is the only lock that matches the VIN with the dealership.

Interior is fair to good condition. Equipped with cruise control, on functioning. Dashboard in good shape there are some minor cracks in it though. Will need new CV axles boot is torn on driver side. CV axles are the old can type. Paint has hairline cracks in it from the front door back. It has had some front end repairs so the paint on the hood and quarter panels are good. Headlight door cracked. Sunroof is inoperable but it is siliconed shut and water proof. Front main seal dribbles out oil so the bottom of the car will never rust! =) Tires are still in great shape they are Toyo's. I know ill forget something so I'll add it if I remember. Sold as is, nd no reserve so bid away. I can keep the car for a bit if you need to arrange to pickup if your out of state. I hold the title (Reconstructed Title) Tags are still good for the state or Oregon.

-Car does pull a bit under heavy braking but nothing more than annoying. There might be some air left in of the calipers from a brake job about a year ago.

She needs work and I would love to see it to go to a restoration enthusiast.

It comes with a functional spare tire and jack. The wheel wrench is missing so I substituted a torque wrench for that just in case.
Owners manual I had, ut when I checked just now its gone rouge. If I find it, t will be mailed to you. No repair manual as I have ALLDATA a program on the computer with is used by some professional repair shops. Spare parts: One set of wrenches used to adjust your valves once a year, nd a spare fuel pump(BOSCH). The pump on it still works great I just kept it in case I needed one. I like to have spare parts on the shelf! Tire wear on all for I'd say 30-40% left. Battery is two years old still has all CCA in it (900 by the way.) Wipers I can replace upon request. They'll do but they are a year old and can use replacing. Heater works 100%. It'll roast you out! Defrost works 100% as does the vents and floor heat. Clutch is proper working order no problems there. All lights works: tail, ark, urn, oth license plate bulbs shine brightly. Both headlights AND fog lights work great. Exhaust system is intact, o major exhaust leaks, r rotted pipe. Rubber mount for the muffler had rotted away and the previous owner substituted a hose clamp to keep it on the mount. Won't fall off.
All v belts are in great condition only a few years old.
Zero coolant leaks. Anti-freeze mixture is at approximately 50%-60% antifreeze to water ratio. Color is green (I think its mostly generic Prestone mix.)
