1977 Mercedes-Benz T

*PLEASE CAREFULLY REVIEW ALL PHOTOS. I have included photos after and before the accident. Here is a truely rare opportunity to own one of the rarest vehicles in the U.S. This 1977 Mercedes-Benz T1 307D camper van built by Condor is a true classic, with a clean title and a beautiful blue exterior. The T1 van was never sold in the U.S. and it is rumored that approximately 15 may have been brought into the country. This is unique van and the predecessor to the Sprinter van. Unlike any other T1 van you will find, this is a high top and wide body, making it even more unique. Unfortunately being that it spent most of its life in Europe there are some rust spots and the wood flooring has some damage. Though the vehicle has not been driven since the accident and requires some attention, it has been well-maintained prior to the damage. The engine had been upgraded a few years ago to a 5 cylinder turbo diesel by the previous owner and paired with a tough 4-speed manual transmission. This really is the perfect travel vehicle. I posted the mileage higher than it may be. The true mileage of this motor is unknown. This rare camper van is a perfect project for someone who appreciates vintage Mercedes and is willing to put in the effort to restore it to its former glory. I highly recommended joining some T1 van clubs to source parts if you plan to restore. Sadly, as you can see, someone hit my van right in front of my house so I’m letting my van go no reserve. As much as I would love to see it repaired, I’m letting it go as parts. The turbo diesel, 4 speed, and rear axle may save someone else’s project. While the front damage is bad, I do believe a person with the right talent and passion for Mercedes can breathe new life into this very special one off van built by Condor. The title is a clean California title but do to the damage, you may be required to title it as a restored salvage depending on your states guidelines. I recommend contacting your local DMV to best answer that question. The interior is missing the wood paneling but does feature the original stove/sink combo as well and shower. With some imagination, this could be restored or renovated into a very unique camper. Please feel free to contact me for any additional questions, pictures, or videos. Please do your research for transport before you bid. This is a very heavy vehicle and not many people can load it. You may need to hire a transportation company that specializes in RVs. Any additional inquiries can reach me directly at 602 258-6353 or message me through eBay. This van is located in Phoenix, Arizona. Happy bidding.
