For sale is a well-kept and serviced1978 Mercedes 280CE with151,xxx miles. The vehicle has received new tires, battery, fuel pump, oil, paint job (2024), spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap/rotor, complete tune up (Dec ‘23), misc new vacuum tubes/valves/splitters, new thermo-vacuum valves, new hood liner, original manuals, ALL receipts from 197 thru recent (about a 2" thick stack, sorted by date back to 1978), original leather-wrapped spare key, original Mercedes tool kit, original Mercedes first aid kit, original spare tire & jack. Comes with custom car cover, mat protectors, custom windshield sun-block insert and more. I purchased this from the deceased owner’s estate in Sun City. Always garage kept, regularly serviced and barely driven.
The vehicle runs great and always starts on first couple turns. Vehicle is equipped with the original am/fm stereo, a rear heated window and factory air conditioning (does not currently operate). Drives amazing, super smooth and the suspension is smoother than my 2021 Mercedes.Gets tons of head turns and thumbs up. Beautiful, timeless and classic Mercedes in mostly restored condition.
What I haven't fixed - Factory air condition does not currently work. Should be an easy fix.There is a small crease in the rear trunk lid, a small dent in the front right fender, small dent on the (replaceable) rear chrome fender trim, and slightly bent rear right fender trim. All purely cosmetic and an easy fix.
This classic Mercedes coupe is a dream to drive, gets a TON of head turns and is gorgeous in person. Inside and out. This will only appreciate in the years to come.
