Here is the chance to own one of the most beautiful roadsters and history changing models that Mercedes-Benz ever made - 1985 Mercedes Benz 280SL R107 Roadster!!! 1985 was also the last year of production for the 280SL R107 Model!

What makes this SL Special is that this is TRUE EUROPEAN model, featuring more elegant short European bumpers, and it is equipped with a bulletproof Straight 6 Cylinder 2.8L M110 engine matted to a rare and desirable 5-Speed Manual Transmission!!!

The majority of 280SL’s that were equipped with a manual transmission were a 4 speed, and only a handful of later production 280SL’s were equipped with a 5 Speed manual gearbox, and a higher ratio 3.92 rear differential, making it a great highway cruiser!

About the car:

This SL has been sitting since 2007. Before it was parked, it was running and driving, and the previous owner used it as his daily driver before he started experiencing some health issues.

Unfortunately, he left it sitting outside under the cover, and weather and time did their toll on this beauty, and it will need a full restoration.

This Mercedes is all complete and engine spins freely (please see the video below)

Rear brake calipers were removed, so it rolls and steers without issues.

Body is straight, but the floors are rusted out and will need to be replaced. All in all this is a very complete SL that can make a very nice and fun project, and great return on your investment! It deserves to be restored and put back on the road again!!!
