1982 Mercedes 380SL Black on Black
1982 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
This car looks great… from a distance. And actually, not too bad up close. It gets a lot of attention every time I drive it. I inherited the car two years ago. It sat for 10+ years in Georgia prior to that. Did not run at all when I got it, but we brought it back to life. Now the engine is super smooth. Starts first time, every time. It drives well, and dependable enough for me to take to work across town - which I do regularly. I’ve had to move on to another project (airplane) and sadly need to let this rare Black-on-Black beauty go. If the rust (in the usual places) doesn’t scare you, it has a ton of potential. The body is in really nice, straight condition, but needs some rust repair and fresh paint. If you have the skills, or money, to finish what I started, this car could be a prize.
