1989 Mercedes-Benz 500-Series 560SL
This is a really nice example of this classic automobile. A friend of mine said "It's like a stainless steel and gold Rolex, it will never be out of style". This was my Father-in-Law's car, a retired physician . One owner, he drove it to the beach in Del Mar, CA every day to go for a walk. I had it trucked over to Houston when he was not able to drive it. It needed some work. I put new tires on it, battery, shocks (all four), brakes (all four), wheel bearings, oil change, coolant, etc. (approx. $4500.00 receipt attached). This car runs great! No rust, never any bodywork, it was always in the garage so the paint looks great. I am sure there are some things it needs work on. I don't know if the AC or heater work, never tried them. On a nice day put the top down and cruise. That's what this car is all about! There are a couple of small tears in the convertible top that have been patched. If I didn't have to sell this car I wouldn't. I don't have the time to drive it, I don't have anywhere to keep it, and relationship changes dictate the need to sell it.
