For sale is a 1972 280SEL 4.5 litre V8 classic four door long wheelbase sedan. The car is in very nice condition with no significant rust anywhere on the vehicle. The engine was entirely rebuilt by the previous owner (a Medical Doctor) less than 1000 miles ago. Car was put into storage but started and driven regularly. It hasoriginal cognac leather seats without any rips or tears. (Very rare). Seats should be preserved and kept original, s they are amazingly comfortable and impossible to duplicate in terms of look, eel and comfort. Car has 122k miles, ut with the rebuilt engine that runs beautifully andsounds great. With very little effort this car could be taken to the next level. Recent work includes cleaning/relining of gas tank, ew fuel filter, ew rotors/pads on all four wheels, ew synthetic oil and filter, ew points, lugs, iming, elts. Transmission shifts fantastic.
