The 500E was assembled by Porsche and featured wheel arch flares, revised bodywork, and a lower ride height when compared to other W124 models. This example is finished in Black Pearl Metallic (199) and features matching bumper covers and lower cladding. Additional exterior features include integrated fog lights, a retractable antenna, tinted windows, and a power sunroof. The seller reports that the antenna mast and the tint on the rear window were replaced under current ownership. Modifications following the seller’s acquisition included the installation of European-specification headlights, clear front turn signals, and a rear spoiler. A February 2010 entry in the Carfax report lists damage to the right-front and rear portions of the vehicle, a July 2017 entry shows that the car was involved in a rear-end collision and sustained damage to the front, and an April 2018 entry indicates that the car was involved in a side-swipe collision. Blemishes are visible on the front bumper cover.

The 17″ multi-piece Monoblock-style wheels were installed under current ownership and are mounted with 245/45 Michelin Sport Pilot All Season 4 tires. The car is equipped with Automatic Slip Control (ASR). Braking is handled by four-wheel ventilated discs. The front brake pads, rotors, and wear sensors were replaced at approximately 119k miles.

The cabin features heated power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated lower dashboard, door panels, and carpeting. Burl wood trim accents the interior and amenities include automatic climate control, a power-adjustable steering column, dual front airbags, cruise control, and a Becker cassette stereo linked with a remote CD changer. The seller reports that the switch for the power-operated rear window shade was replaced in April 2023.

The four-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, an analog clock, and gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 122k miles, approximately 260 miles of which were added under current ownership.

The 5.0-liter M119 DOHC V8 was factory rated at 322 horsepower and 354 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes that the wiring harness was replaced in 2022. The spark plugs were replaced at approximately 119k miles, and service in May 2023 included an oil change and replacing the air filters.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed automatic transmission that is said to have been serviced in May 2023. The seller reports that a transmission seal was replaced at that time.

A set eight-hole alloy wheels with tires is included in the sale along with additional removed parts.
