Now up for auction is this 1989 Mercedes Benz 560SL finished in color combination of Signal Red over a light Beige leather interior.This 560SL represents the last of the classic 107 series SL as 1989 was the final production year of this desirable model. This car is a perfect example of a classic convertible for long weekend drives.Acquired in April 2021 by the current owner, this car features refurbished 15 inch x 7 Silver Alloy Wheels and Pirelli tires, a new black soft top, a refurbished Becker Grand Prix AM/FM Cassette Stereo with Power Antenna and Bluetooth Connectivity, a refinished center wood console, refurbished sun visors and new seals on the hard top. A complete interior and exterior detailing and polishing was just completed further enhancing the overall appearance.It is now being offered for Auction out of Pennsylvania wit has approximately 77,475 miles on the odometer, of which 300 where added by the current owner.

The car was ordered in the popular color combination of Signal Red (568) and Light Leather and a Black soft top. The car was originally sold in Texas and spent the first 15 years in Texas. Between 2006 and 2021, this vehicle spent time in New York, Texas and Illinois, with separate owners. In April 2021, the vehicle was sold at auction to Unique Cars of Palm Beach, an independent dealer specializing in the restoration of the original Mercedes-Benz models. During its brief time at Unique Cars of Palm Beach, the car underwent a long list of mechanical and cosmetic repairs as part of the restoration process. These repairs included the installation of new black soft top, de-trimming of the entire car body in preparation for repainting in Signal Red, the installation of a new hood emblem and refurbishment of the original silver wheels.

The car’sinterior is finished in light Leather Seats, a light carpet with Mercedes Benzmats, a Becker a refurbished Becker Grand Prix AM/FM Cassette Stereo with PowerAntenna and Bluetooth Connectivity, a refinished center wood console andrefurbished sun visors. All of theaccessories and electrical features are in good working condition. The climate controlled air conditioning andheating system was inspected and a new compressor with dryer and belt and airfilter have been installed within the last year. The entire system was vacuum andcharged. Other options include powerwindows, power locks, power 4 wheel disc brakes, 15” Alloy Wheels, cruisecontrol and Bosch fog lights.

This 560SLis equipped with a 5.6L, SOHC V8 rated at 227 HP. The rear-wheels are driven by a 4 speed automatic transmission. In August 2021,the Pennsylvania State Inspection and Emission Test was completed, along with replacement of the rear brake pads, the rebuilding of the right rear brake caliper, installation of a new blower motor cover and the installation of new exhaust hangers. A new battery was also installed in March 2023

The entire underside was cleaned using the dry-ice process by Leading Edge Automotive in December 2022.
