Description:

1978 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

1978 450 SL second owner 48K milesVery strong at freeway speed easily keeps up modern cars on the freeway. It shifts smoothly, very strong transmission and engine. SEE "Condition Description" for details. It is a car to drive and enjoyed, not a museum piece, so minor imperfections are to be expected.I will link up 400 images and a 7 minute video for you to see. Bid or send me an offer, I bought the car from the original owners that drove the car in the summers in Ohio and year round in Florida at their vacation home. I am trying to gain storage space needed for a business.

Condition:48K miles w/rare color combo Anthraticate Grey Exterior w/factory Astral Silver hard top & black soft top & black interior. Mechanically strong V8 w/super smooth/strong transmission. Newer battery, new serpentine belt, new power steering fluid & pump seals, new fuel filter, oil changed before winter storage. Original Becker radio works well. A/C does NOT work & hasn’t been checked, it has been converted by the first owner to R34, so it can be easily troubleshooted/refilled, heater works great. The paint is good over all, with minor scratches on trunk lid, front right fender, and hood. Dashboard is crack-free. Seats are original and in good shape for the age, passenger seat has a tiny hairline crack in the leather (can be seen in video). The car is mainly solid rust free w/minor surface imperfections. Shifter handle lever position needs adjustment (I’ll get it looked at this week) as it’s slightly off, since I replaced the plastic linkage bushings underneath.
