My wife and I flew to Seattle earlier this year and bought this rare 5 Speed Manual 190E and did a 1,600 mile road trip down the west coast. This car still has clean Washington Title and has current registration until September of this year! The car drove down with zero issues and is a lot of fun to drive with the manual transmission. This car has the 4 cylinder engine and is very gas efficient! This Mercedes-Benz is from the “Golden-Era” for Mercedes-Benz and is built very well. This car is a great daily driver and still has plenty of life still left. I have uploaded over 120 photos and a video so you can get a really good look at this beauty. The interior of the car is in great shape for its year.
The interior reflects the low miles and show little to no wear at all except the driver’s seat. The driver’s seat has some slight tears in it. I have included details photos of the blemishes towards the end of the photo series below. The dash is in great shape and crack free. The interior is 100% all original, except the radio which was updated with a Bluetooth radio. All the central power door locks work great. The A/C blows cold but a service would definitely make it cooler. All of the interior trim pieces are there and the only interior pieces that is missing is the speaker grill on the front right door. I have the grill, it just needs to be reupholstered. The interior smells nice and clean with no weird odor or smell. The headliner is also in great shape and is not sagging anywhere. All the 4 power windows work great. The rear windows work from the door switches but do not work from the center buttons.I don’t know why, that is how I bought it.The sunroof is closed shut, I believe the gear on the motor is stripped. The sunroof does not leak. I bought a pair of headrest to install in the rear to give it a Euro look but the color is slightly off. I will also include those with the car for the new buyer. Overall, I would say the interior is in great shape.
The exterior of the car is in good shape! The car does have minor dings and dents from being a 31 year old car. The left rear door and front right quarter panel have a dent in them. The door you might be able to use a paint-less dent removal company. The car was repainted at some point and the paint is not in the best page. 10ft away it looks good but up-close, the roof and trunk area have some blemishes. I have included close-up detailed photos of the blemishes towards the end of the photo series below. All the doors and windows open and close flawlessly. All the glass and lights are all crack free and work perfectly as well. The rear antenna is in the out position. I am not sure why but it doesn’t retract. It is just in the out position. I upgraded the grill and the headlights to European. The original grill and headlights do come with the car. I also replaced the side mirrors as the original once where faulty, I will included the original set as well as they could be used as spare parts in the future. Overall, I would say the exterior is in good shape.
Mechanically, the car is in very solid shape. The car drives straight as an arrow and does not pull to any side. The Engine does not shake, or make any weird noises. There are no warning lights on the car such as check engine or ABS. The car does not leak any fluids and is dry underneath. This car was very well taken care of and it shows. The van has 4 new tires that were installed less than 1,700 miles ago. All four brakes where just replaced last week. A new battery was installed less than a year ago. I am so confident in the car I would not hesitate to drive it to New York tonight! You can buy a one way flight ticket and drive it back to where ever land permits!
This is a great daily driver and still has a lot of life still left. The only reason this car is for sale is because I wanted to add this car to collection with other 90s Mercedes-Benz but I have lost my storage and don’t have a place to park all my cars anymore.
