1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300CD 2 door coupe

1985 was the last year Mercedes produced the gorgeous W123 series 2 door coupes. They already had a reputation for being very dependable and economical, but since 1982 with the introduction of the turbo charger, they became also much more fun to drive.They only made 8003 of these wonderful coupes with the diesel engine and there are just not that many left in this condition.This would be a great car for a classic car collector, but it would be more fun for somebody who wants to drive it every day. If somebody loves classic cars and wants to drive it every day, nothing beats a well take care of Mercedes.
This particular 300CD was finished in Nautical Blue (MB color code 929) with beige leather interior, a very elegant and rare color combination. This car really stands out and i do get compliments on it every time i take it out.The paint and the body are in excellent condition. There are no dings, dents or scratches. The interior is clean as the many pictures will show. It is 37 years old, but in very nice condition. The carpets are new and the seats are still firm. Even the wood still looks great.
The best thing about this car is the way it drives. It always starts up right away and it has plenty of power in town and on the freeway. The transmission shifts smooth through all the gears and it cruises effortlessly with 85mph on the freeway all day long. I am still getting 27 mpg of diesel which is amazing for a 37 year old car.
