This is a Very Special 1985 300CD Turbo Diesel 3.0 Mercedes Benz coupe. The popular W123 series of Mercedes Benz executive cars and is a known classic amongst enthusiasts. Built from 1975 through 1986, the models of this series were a pillar of sales for Mercedes in the era. This 1985 300CD spent most its life in California and North Carolina. It is an outstanding example of the classic coupe and is in very good condition w/ chrome, stainless steel factory Bundt 14” alloy wheels that provide a classic accent. This Mercedes has many features including center console w/wood trim, dash, climate-control air conditioning, power tinted windows, power sunroof, cruise control, power locks and AM/FM/CD stereo system (original Becker Grand Prix AM/FM radio included in the sale if I can locate). The passenger rear window will probably need a new motor soon as it is intermittent, and the A.C needs charged ever so often. Other than that, with proper maintenance and up keep, there are absolutely no issues. The coupe is powered by the Mercedes OM617 5-cylinder Turbo Diesel. It is a 3.0L, SOHC (chain drive) design that produces 123bhp/178lb/ft of torque and is virtually indestructible. This engine utilizes Bosch injection and delivers power through a four-speed automatic transmission to a RWD differential. The chassis is equipped with power steering and power 4-wheel new disc brakes (rear calipers and torque shaft boots). It has a clean Carfax, factory tools, custom car cover and clean title. This is a very appealing CLASSIC 300CD coupe. I have owned & loved this amazing car for over 15 years. It has recently been completely gone through by Gary's Automotive Service (a well respected local independent Mercedes-Benz repair shop) and is mechanically sound and ready to drive anywhere.
