1986 MERCEDES-BENZ 300SL CONVERTIBLE FOR SALE
This auction is for a classic 1986 300SL. The Mercedes-Benz 300SL was a variant of the R107SL-CLASSthat was first introduced in 1985. The 300 SL was one of the few R107 variants to not feature a V8 engine, instead this variant was powered by a 3.0L inline six engine that generated 187hp. This power was sent to the rear wheels via manual and automatic transmission options, reaching a top speed of 130mph. Production of the Mercedes-Benz 300SL lasted until 1989.
I purchased this car a few years ago excited to restore, which I did. Beyond removing any rust at a reputable body shop, I also renovatedinterior to original leather seats and carpeting, repaired all issues mechanic found under the hood, serviced regularly, used only 93 octane fuel, changed to new black soft top, added new speakers and stereo with Bluetooth and so much more. I drove it on the average every other weekend for a few miles around the block. Three kids later, it is time for me to part with this vehicle. I truly love it as it is such a fun car to drive, and it will be hard for me to let it go. I believe that as time goes on, it will go higher and higher in value and become even more rare, but I do not have the space to store it anymore. I am also willing to share details of my mechanic who has kept this car in great condition over the years with new owner if you are local to Broward County.
Some call the color blue. Some call it green. I see both and think this is a nice unique blue/green color.
