1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

Up for sale is my 1984 Mercedes Benz 300D Turbo Diesel 3.0L I-5 in beautiful Silver blue (930) with a cared for interior that is MB-tex leather in galaxy blue (152). This car was delivered new to Auto Werks of Rockford, INC. Rockford, IL 1-2-1983.
This car is currently showing 204,661 miles on the odometer. This gorgeous example of German engineering is a vehicle that you can get in and enjoy for many miles. The automatic climate control will keep you at a comfortable temperature whatever the outside conditions are. The original Becker am/fm radio will pump out your favorite tunes weather it be from the airwaves or via cassette tape. There is a somewhat partial service history previous to my ownership and an extensive service history during its time in my care.
There are a few pictures that show the service history in the drop box link. The car was recently detailed with a clay bar, buffed, and a ceramic wax to protect it. This car has been a daily driver for me for 4 years and it has been very enjoyable. This car will start even when the temperature falls down to 10°F. It does not require any oil in-between services and is an absolute pleasure to drive.All windows (excluding windshield) are tinted and the rear window was removed to tint and re-installed using a MB gasket.

·1-6-20. 199,335mi New battery from Wal-Mart (hasa sticker on battery that says “Made in Germany”!)

·8-3-20. 200,282mi New lower ball joints. *Valvelash adjusted and new MB valve cover gasket. Oil 15w-40 Rotella and filterchanged MB filter. Fuel filters changed.

·9-12-20. 200,342mi Removed fuel strainer frombottom of tank and cleaned it out. Replaced O-ring and fuel line.

·11-26-20. 200,581mi Oil pressure gauge had a smallleak. Replaced that portion of the cluster with one from eBay off a 167k micar. Installed new Mercedes Benz oil pressure line from filter base to cluster.Speedo/odometer started to not consistently count in hot weather so the speedoassembly was repaired, cleaned, and lubricated. Painted all needles and addedLED lights for illumination. Installed voltmeter.

·2-21-21. 201,470 Replaced all 4 shocks with new Bilstein’sOE replacements standard duty.

·8-29-21. 203,029 Engine oil (Mobil 5w-40 syn)and MB oil filter. Replaced primary and secondary fuel filters (NAPA). Adjustedsteering box. Installed new MB breather hose elbow.
