1972 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class

This two-owner, low mileage SoCal 350SL has just been put back on the road after years of storage and it's looking for a new home. It runs and drives flawlessly and the interior looks great after over 200 hours of revitalization.This was my "Covid Project" and I have restored it as if I were keeping it for myself using all high quality replacement parts and correct spec fluids.
Here's a list of the new premium components we've installed:

• Complete restoration of interior including new carpet set and sound reduction panel under-padding. (see photo)

  All 4 new brake calipers, new premium pads.

  Spark plugs, wires, points and distributor cap.

  New Master cylinder

  New Tires and alignment

  Some brake lines, some vacuum hoses replaced

  Coolant temp sensor andAir intake sensors replaced,

  ICM Ignition Control Module replaced

  ECM Electronic control modulereplaced

  Left side mirror and turn signal switch replaced with new MB original switch
  Primary exhaust pipes and rear muffler replaced with new

  All fluids and belts replaced, radiator flushed, all hoses replaced, cabin heater blower motor rebuilt
  Period correct AM/FM radio installed

Once we finished the work, I wanted an expert to check to see if I missed anything. Eric (owner) at Bavarian Auto Haus in Arroyo Grande, CA scoped the engine and ran an overnight fuel pressure test to verify that the engine is in top condition. He reported "this is exactly how this car is supposed to run" and it's been driving like a dream ever since. This SL is a sweetheart and thissale includes the car as you see it (the soft top is in excellent condition) andthe original hard top in good condition.
