Offered for sale is a white on gray 1994 Mercedes e420. The car was enjoyed by its previous owners and driven regularly. The car is a pleasure to drive and drives down the road smoothly. The v8 starts right up and runs great, has an intermittent lifter tick. Transmission shifts well, when going in reverse has about a 1 second delay before the gear engages. The exterior shows usual wear considering the mileage of the car, this has a lot of highway miles on it. front lenses were replaced. Car just had the brakes done on it front and rear. A full tune up was done to the engine including spark plugs, wires, caps, valve cover seals. Engine oil and filter replaced. Interior has all leather seats that shows some wear as expected. Has factory front heated seats that work well. Central lock system works, A/C blows ice cold and heater blows hot. The power antenna is not working, All lights on the car work. This car has the optional ASR and traction control. The car is still being used as daily driver so mileage will increase. These late production V8 cars are excellent cruisers, and offer outstanding highway eating performance that has earned them a reputation for being the “poor man’s E500.” Good for 275 HP and nearly 300 lb. ft. of torque, the 4.2 liter M119 V8 shares basic architecture with the 322 horse 5.0 liter version used in the limited production, flared fender, Porsche built E500. These 420 versions are geared more for relaxing cruising and fuel economy, but a final drive ratio swap is a popular swap that reportedly does a lot for faster acceleration.
