Up for sale is my beautiful 1959 Mercedes 220 S 6 cylinder 4-speed manual transmission. The transmissionshifts perfectly and it is working in harmony with the completely rebuilt engine done by a professional Mercedes repair shop in Daytona Beach Florida. I've driven about 400 miles after the car was rebuilt and its been nothing but smooth rides and lots of turning heads. People love to see this car out on the roads, everyone is drawn to it rolling down the streets.
The car spent most its life in Santa Barbara California where it later moved to Texas in 2012. I bought the car in 2016 from an estate lawyer and its been mine ever since then. The car is equipped with a 2195 CC 6 cylinderengine. The interior is also equipped with all original wooden dashboard with wooden trims which are in perfect condition. It also has a velour seats that were put in in 1991. The carpet is in great condition and the whole car is rust free.
The recently rebuilt engine includes - new head gasket set, new timing chain and gears, rebuilt fuel pump, new clutch set, and bearing, and clutch plate, new steering damper, new freeze plugs, new heater boxes, resurfaced heads and pressure tested, and resurfaced crankshaft, new thermostat, new rear end seals and boots, new muffler, new engine main bearing, and rod bearing, new 6 piston sets, rings, and bushings, also the block was honed to size 80 mm to fit the new pistons. New valve set and guides, spark plugs wire point and caps, radiator flush, 4 brake shoes and wheel cylinder, new transmission seals and shifter bushing, rebuilt steering box and all the lights and lenses on the car are new and the chrome bumpers are in perfect condition, car was repainted in 1991 paint is shiny with some surface scratches .The center of the trunk lid has some paint touch up on the surface but not visible from a distance. All the doors open and close perfectly.
Please bid with confidence, this car needs nothing, which you can see in the photos. I have all records/receipts and the original tools as well as all the replaced parts in the car are brand new and imported from around the world. More than $15,000 was spent on this car to get it as pristineas it is. The car is included with extra parts such as front and rear windshield seals, a rebuild kit for the calibrator, two rear wheel bearings, brake shoes, and rear axleseals. The car has 400 miles since it was rebuilt. You could definitelydrive this car where ever you'd like to thereforemaking shipping not needed. Come on over and get it! I've put a lot of money into the car and i'm trying to sell it due to a family situation currently going on. It really is a great car and I have a lot of confidence in it.Feel free to ask questions and request more photos! Thanks!!
