1985 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class --

GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this original, unmolested and very well kept 1985 Mercedes Benz 380sl Roadster for world consideration. This SL was purchased new at Holtz House of Vehicles of Rochester, NY and has resided in the northeast as a seasonal vehicle over the course of three responsible owners. At 82029 miles, the car remains in overall excellent original condition inside and out. The tan interior appears to be all original, the dash pad does have some... minor cracks, but overall, considering the age of the vehicle, the interior including the seats, wood, carpet and gauges remain very clean, tidy and exhibits the consistent care this vehicle has received. An Alpine stereo with 6 disc cd changer has replaced the original factory radio. The exterior paint appears to be nearly all, if not all original, remains glossy and shows lots of life. The body and panel fit is outstanding as one would expect of the brand, the stainless steel trim is a bit cloudy, but is free of dents and remains securely fixed to the car. The trunk area remains fully lined with carpet, very clean and houses the full size spare, jack and factory tool roll. The factory soft top appears original. The bottom of the car is very original, clean and the serviceable items appear to have been addressed. This is a very complete car featuring its original factory hard top, original books with clear plastic portfolio, original floor mats, original spare and jack, and original factory tool roll. The Maintenance book shows timely dealer service stamps, the warranty book contains original owner info. The last notable service was completed in spring of 2014 and at mileage 78799 consisting of new belts, hoses, shocks, fluids with some odds and ends, over $1600.00 dollars spent at that time. Mechanically this car is a pleasure to drive, the air blows cold, CARFAX is perfect and the Michelin tires have just a few hundred miles on them. Since the introduction of the 300SL Roadster in 1957, the Mercedes SL nameplate has been associated the best of the best in open-air motoring. To this day, the Mercedes SL masterfully combines quality, performance, elegance and style. The 1985 380SL was part of the legendary R107 body style, which exemplifies the SL's reign of success. These cars will always have global appeal and will always remain in high demand.
