The condition of this rare 1985 Mercedes 500SEL is very good. It has 150,000 miles and has been well maintained.
This classic S Class has the powerful 5.0 V8 engine (last year of this engine). The car has been fully inspected and was just serviced by a certified mechanic.
-------------------------------------------------------------Mechanically this classic Mercedes is in very good condition. There is no oil leak, the engine is very strong, transmission shifts smoothly. Many common classic Mercedes problems are not present. It drives very smoothly and drives straight.
However there are a few known issues..
*Known Issues:Exhaust LeakWhen the car goes into reverse, it may bump for a few seconds.. I was told this the reverse drum is worn.Car needs to warm up first or else acceleration is slightly hesitant

Cosmetically, this Mercedes is in excellent condition for its age.The interior is in very good shape. The leather interior and the headliner is in very good condition. However there is a small crack in the dash, a crack in the driver door, and some of the wood trim is peeling slightly.
-The Windows, Sunroof, AC, Blower Controls, Air Flow, Seat Heaters, Rear Seat Heaters, All Seat Controls, Radio all operate correctly.
