1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

This is a 1985 Mercedes 300D Turbo Diesel sedan. The exterior is smoke silver with a tan MDB-TEX interior. The car starts, drives, and stops as it should. Below is a description of each system of the car:
Drivetrain:The car starts up and drives as it should. I wouldn't hesitate to go anywhere in this car and usually get about 30mpg. The transmission shifts as it should through all gears. The four Michelin tires are in good shape with life left in them. The car stops fine. A new master cylinder was installed on the car a few years ago. The drivetrain has been bulletproof requiring only routine maintenance. The car doesn't shut off with the key, the previous owner added a vacuum shut off which is turned to shut the engine off. The car starts up with the key, but shuts off with the valve. This never bothered me and I never looked into it.
Exterior:The previous owner of the car repainted it and didn't do that great of a job. The car has a matte finish, no shine and some runs in the paint. There are some dings and dents around the perimeter of the body, the worst of which I have tried to show in the pictures. There is a dent in the right, front fender by the bumper. The car has always been in the south and has no exterior rust. The grille does have some rust spots. It needs a new windshield seal as the current one leaks. I have a new, aftermarket windshield and new gasket which I will include with the sale. The hood insulation has come apart due to age.
Interior:The interior is fairly clean for a car with this age and miles. The driver's seat bolster has some wear from entering and exiting the car. The driver's seat does have some sag in the springs, but sits good. The rest of the interior has no tears. The driver's sunvisor has a broken clip and the dash has the usual cracks. There is a piece of wood trim missing on the center panel and the wood around the shifter is delaminating. The power driver and passenger window work, but the rears don't although the motors are good and working. The carpets needs a good cleaning. I have never tried the sunroof and not sure if it works. The heat works, but as with most, the A/C needs a recharge.
I have owned this car for the past nine years and it has been essentially bulletproof needing only routine maintenance. I have lots of maintenance records from the previous owner and myself along with the owner's manuals.
