This 1993 Mercedes Benz 500 SL Black on Black is for sale for $4,000.00, this model is one of the world's best vehicles - I purchased same from my Mercedes mechanic (whose Shop is in Hawthorne) and if you live in Los Angeles, he 'd be more than happy to keep maintaining this wonderful vehicle.The cloth top has been replaced and the retractable has been fixed and is in perfect shape.In essence this is a project car and lends itself for a restoration, I am in the process of retiring and certain luxuries have to go...however, one final comment on restoration - if you make it perfect, you may then, not want to drive it.The car is kept at my home in Playa del Rey, under cover of course, also own an Escalade that I paid $100K and other vehicles - 8 all told, but this 500 SL is my favorite!A piece of advice - if you buy a convertible, use it with the top down, it's to be enjoyed...you will get compliments driving this car and none driving the Escalade.Driving through the Beach Cities, day or night is a lot of fun and never, gets old from Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Marina del Rey to Manhattan Beach and Hermosa down to Redondo - good stuff.
