1970 MERCEDES 280 SE COUPE that is in a very good condition. The car just came out of storage and was driven periodically to keep the fluids flowing. Mechanically the car runs and drives very nicely, it shifts through the gears very smoothly and swiftly. The transmission is a desirable floor shift automatic which was rebuilt in 2003. The odometer reads a 110237. Currently registered in the state of Washington with a clearWashington title.
This rare classic was partially restored in l997 with all new front leather seats, rubber seals and a gorgeous paint job.The paint still looks great and shiny except for the driver side door Where the paint is chipped a bit. (Not noticable from close distane) please see photos under the door handle. I was told the car was sold originally in California. It comes with a plenty of records dating to 1975, which I will pass to the new owner.
Chrome bumpers are in top condition. There is a small rust in the front passenger side wheel well.Door handles look like a mirror. You can literally see yourself. No pitting. Glass all the way around is in a great shape. All power doors, locks and gauges work as they should.
The BEHR A/C is operational and in need of a refrigerant.The car comes with a jac, spare tire and a manual book.
Minor rust undercarriage ( see photos).As for the interior, the burwood is in an exceptional condition and shows very well.The original Becker Grand Prix radio is in place and works fine.highly recommend and encourage aninspection before the endof the auction.The car is sold as is.Please serious buyers and payers only.Thank you for looking and good luck!
