1971 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series SEL

This vehicle is 48 years and has been pampered for many years. It has 97,362 miles and lots of paperwork that goes with this car.

Only 6,526 units like this were built from 1967 to 1972. This 600 series engine with 8 to 1 compression ratio. This car I believe has original paint

I have done some minor touch ups, and resprayed the undercarriage. No rust, Car drives straight. Good oil pressure, Maintains normal water temperature.

I have done the following

1. Replace all brakes calipersand brake pads.

2. Replaced all Air Bellows, and rebuilt other air system components.

3. Fuel tank is good, Fuel pump has been rebuilt.Water pump recentlyrebuilt.

4. Exhaust seems good no visible leaks. Recently replaced Exhaust Manifold Gaskets, all 8.

5. Drained Air Compressor to convert to R134a, replaced all hoses and expansion valve.

6. All Plugs and filters have been change, Transmission fluid and filters changed.

7. Set Engine timing to Specification. All gauges work

8. Replace Carpet (German Tops) this is a very good quality OEM.

What needs to be done:

1.Air system has a slow leak somewhere in the system I still trying to detect.

2. Radiodoesn'twork, Drive side window goes dow, but up only 90 % of glass.

3. PowerAntennadoesn'twork.

4. Although I worked on A/C it might still need some fine tuning.

5. Rear leather seats have a couple of tears. 2 - 4 inch
