For Sale: 1988 560SL with 48,600 original miles. This SL wears its original Diamond Blue Metallic paint (MB #355) and navy blue leather interior, both of which are in excellent condition. This three owner SL has been under the care of its current owner since 2016 and has been driven sparingly since then, and always garaged when not in use. Paint, glass and brightwork are all in pristine original condition with only one minor mark on the rear of the car. Both hard and soft tops are also in like new condition and the soft top has a clear rear-window showing it's original Mercedes-Benz factory stamp. Additionally, all body panels still sport their original VIN tags.
The interior is equally clean. The original leather hides show virtually no sign of wear and all of the factory burled-walnut trim still shines beautifully. Newport Sound recently wired new speakers and Bluetooth functionality into the original Becker Grand Prix radio to the tune of $823. Other recent work includes replacement of A/C compressor, both valve cover gaskets, replacement of timing chain tensioner and an oil change.
