If you are looking for a BEAUTIFUL 450SL that is well above average, yet affordable - this is the car for you. This 1979 Mercedes 450SL has been in my family for 20 years. My father purchased the car in 1998 and decided to spend over $22,000 to bring the car to top mechanical and physical condition. Everything you can imagine was done to the car from a total mechanical overhaul to new trim pieces and a soft top. I've attached some photos of the receipts. Email me and I can send you the rest (hit the limit on photo uploads with Ebay). I've cared for the car for the past 10 years now. Its only been driven in the summer, maybe 10 times per year. It has original miles, clean title, and no known issues. The car starts immediately every time with no hesitation. All of the features on the car are in working order including the A/C. The car is fast and fun to drive. I just put BRAND NEW Firestone tires on the car two weeks ago. I also had a new fan clutch put on, oil changed, idler arm bushings, and the steering box rebuilt. Every year I've done a couple of things to keep the car in great shape. While you could easily buy this car and drive it for a long time without doing anything, if I were to continue to keep it in top shape thenext thing I would do is replace the suspension wear rubber components since its been over 10 years.Ihave purchased replacement filler panels for the black trim around the rear, but have not installed them. I will include them with the sale. This car is in amazing condition, but it is not a museum /high endquality collectorexample that would be priced in the $30-40k range. There are some minor scratches and scuffs and I've tried to take some photos to show some examples. The windshield also has some scratches on it that you can see in the photo.
