This car would make an easy project for someone looking for an easy, inexpensive Benz convertible to restore. These are rare to find at this price. The older SL's are very comfortable, look awesome, are fun to drive, amazingly reliable, and to top it all off they always stand out from the crowd. This car has a nice set of rims on it as well. I sold this car about 6 years to a good customer who played with it on weekends but needed a larger 4 door so he traded it in on an audi a few weeks ago. While we didn't do a full inspection on the car, this is what I can see that will be needed -new radio and dash panel (someone broke into it on our lot and stole the radio) -the top actuates but the front latch leaks fluid very badly which keeps the top from fully operating -the door panel is damaged -there is an asr light on the dash sometimes -AC blows warm Obviously this is not a complete list but it is what I see from a quick drive and playing with some buttons. The car really has a lot of potential to be a very nice car and the price is right! The matching tires are almost new . All this car needs is a new owner.
