Description:

1964 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

1964 MERCEDES-BENZ 220S W111 CHASSIS
This 220S has been in a garage for the better part of 20 years. I have not tried to start it, but was describedas running when parked. The car was being repaired, but never finished. The transmission was removed to replace the clutch, but was never reinstalled. The original clutch disc and pressure plate are in the trunk with the transmission.
All parts that were removed are in the car as far as I can tell. The wood trim is removed from the dash, but is in the back seat. The wood is intact, but needs complete refinishing. The blue MB Tex seats are mostly intact, only a few split seams that can be resown. The 6 cylinder engine and twin carburetors are intact. I do not have a key for the car. The body has some surface corrosion, however there is no rust through the body. It was originally owned in Georgia, and has been in an Ohio garage for many years. Please see pictures from under the car.
The odometer shows 00647 miles. This is obviously not accurate. I assume that the odometer has rolled over at 100k miles, or has been replaced. I make no claims to verifiablemiles.
Overall, this is an original condition car that needs some reassembly and restoration.
Please ask any and all questions before bidding. The car is available for inspection on weekdays in the Cleveland, Ohio suburban area.
