1985 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series 300 Series SD

This 1985 Mercedes-Benz W126 300 SD was my father's pride and joy. Unfortunately, he passed away a few years ago, and we now have to sell the car. He was the second owner of this car and purchased it in 1988 in New York and after a few years relocated the car to his second home in Sanibel Island Florida. The car has 99,690 original miles and was always taken care of. It was garage kept and is accident-free. I have the vehicle history report as well. The underbody is free of rust, and the car runs and drives great. The car has no engine leaks, weird noises and has very good Michelin tires.

The car needs a little TLC to get it back to perfection. There is some cracking of the paint around the gas fill spout. I remember it always being that way when I was a kid. I know my dad never had any accidents and never had the car repainted, so the imperfection is from the previous owner. The car has a few other small areas where the paint has chipped off around the windshield, but no rust is evident. The driver's side tail light has a small chip out of it. The right rear window sometimes falls off the track, but it does work. A small triangular plastic shield is peeling away from the driver's side view mirror handle inside the car. Some glue will fix that.It looks like there is something that has dripped on the carpet under the glove box I am sure it will come out with a good carpet cleaning. The seats are in good shape and need some cleaning as well. I have included pictures of all these areas.

The car has a new battery, and it starts right up every time. The sunroof works with no hesitation. The power seats, AC, windows, passenger mirror, stereo, cigarette lighters and all electrical functions work fine. I don't think he ever used the spare in the trunk, so it is like new.
