| 2004 Jaguar XKR Portfolio | In March 2017 I first contacted Val regarding a 2004 Jaguar XKR Portfolio he had advertised on the internet. We discussed the condition of the car; Val was very approachable and willing to answer all of my questions with detailed answers. After further research on XKRs I contacted him in early April and said I would like to drive to Apex, inspect and drive the car, stay overnight, and decide the next morning if I would buy it. Lo and behold, Val had acquired a SECOND 2004 red Portfolio during the two weeks when we had first talked. I would have two to inspect. Val suggested a few hotels to stay in, arranged his schedule to accommodate mine, and had the two cars waiting when I arrived. Val had under promised and over delivered: both cars were in excellent condition, and I would have bought either immediately. Val had coordinated a garage that we put the cars on their rack the next morning; no significant issues. We settled on a final price and I bought one. First off, I was willing to travel up to 750 miles to get a Black on Black A8, but as fate would have it Val was offering one just miles from my home. | 2006 Audi A8L | Well let me start by saying how much I enjoyed purchasing this black beauty from Val. I have never purchased a car where I did not have to leave my recliner! I am handicapped from an auto accident 8 years ago and can only drive certain vehicles because of my leg brace etc. I was not shopping in earnest but looking at BMW 750iL's as my next purchase and had test driven a couple with prohibitive prices for a person on disability. That is when this Beautiful Black Panther came into my life, of all places on Ebay!!! I couldn't believe what I was seeing and called Val at 8+PM. We spoke several times on the telephone and sent numerous emails back and forth. Each time wecommunicated Ifelt more and more comfortable. By the end of our transaction I felt he was a friend. Val even picked us up from the airport. I loved the 150 pictures and video he made of our car. Val gave us a CD of them as a present. I asked Val if he could get the oil changed and have it inspected at a Jaguar dealership because we were going to drive it back to Toronto. During the 21 point inspection the dealership found 2 marker lights that were not working properly. Val went out of his way to get parts from a less expensive source and installed them.
