Good driving car, I drove all last summer i have owned about 3yrs, valve, tensioner, timing change redone within 1000 miles sucessfuly, bottom end checked out excellent, but cam asssembly needs replaced (parts about $150-200.00 plus a few hours labor) the car drive Ok but the top end is slightly loader than it should be. PLAN ON THIS REPARE BEFORE DRIVING TO FAR. I may set you back a few dollar, but it is worth getting right. I have a repair that will do it. when they have time, but i can't wait The financial emergency is forcing me to sell. I have no time at this point to prepare or detail the car for marketing. Has factory air condioning was working when I bought, I never the A/c, I noticed the fan did not turn on. The lite on the intrument panel does not come on, I have no time to look into it. This car is the most exciting, and fun spirited of all the 107r body cars ever produced. Going through the gears manually with the clutch you feel the power of 200hp from the hi-compression V-8 in away the automatic transmission could never compare. " there is nothing like it in the 107r driving experiance." I have driven them all. Because the number 350SL Manuals produced were so "STAGERING" low, and all were European delivery. Americans collectors do not know it exists, yet it has all the desirable qualities a sporting driver could wan, while still offering a reliablilty and safety 2nd to none. Remember, "performance always sells," for appreciation and investment potental in the automotive world. When in the future the 107 SL cars start to appreciate rapidly in value the EURO cars will be in the most demand. Watch Ebay the Euro cars are getting all the action, they offer more performance, unique options, and are more beautifu, and most all in demand. UNLIKE U.S. DELIVERY 450SL (Compare to the HIGH prices the 190SL, and 280SL which are not much fun to drive.) Its not a question of "will" these EURO 350SL Manuals go up in value, It is just a question of how "soon" the 350SL Manuals cars go up. Already being sought after by collectors. I had a compression test performed today by a certified licenced mechanic shop using high quality "Snap On" testing tools, with the following results;Cylinder 1. 145 2 145 3 150 4 147 5 150 6 152 7 150 8 145
Also while taking pictures of the inside of the rust free trunk, I found what looks like possiably the orginal spare steel wheel and tire that looks to have never ever been on the ground. Also, noticed the radio is original BECKER Mexico Cassettte Vollstereo Reverse 374, Of which I have the original paperwork from new to go with the Mercedes-Benz BOOKS & RECORDS.

A small finger size hole on passenger side lower wheel well near rocker. Also, after parking it at outside in the rain I notice water came in the passenger side carpet, apparently the water a drain is blocked a common thing on old Mercedes. More pictures are available upon request; including a video of the engine running. THIS IS A 37 YEAR OLD MERCEDES ; PLEASE BE REALISTIC IN YOUR EXSPECTATIONS.
