280c Coupe with *70,800 ACTUAL* well cared for miles in beautiful Aqua Blue

1973 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

Happy New Year! This is a very nice 1973 280C Coupe. It is in one of the most desirable colors for this car - AQUA BLUE. When Mercedes changed the w114 coupes from the 250c to 280c the most notable difference is that the 280c has a dual overhead cam inline 6 as opposed to the single cam set up on the 250c.

This car was originally purchased overseas in Germany. The man stationed there knew he was going to be eventually bringing it back to the states so he ordered it with US specs as you can see below. Please note the car was also ordered with a central power locking system which is fairly uncommon on these coupes. The original owner brought the car from the US back to his home and then after he died his son got it. The people I bought it from purchased the car from the son. On title it has only had only two families to ever own it and the miles as you can see pictured are actual as documented on title. The car has had one repaint. The underneath of the car is absolutely in excellent condition...a very well cared for garaged car. The interior in excellent condition as well. Only one crack in the dash where they commonly seem to. The wood looks like new. The seats only need to have new horsehair stuffed in to them if you want to have a more cushy ride - otherwise the interior very nice. You will only need to put in rear seat belts if you want to complete it.

The car starts right up and has plenty of power. For a w114 it has a good amount of pick up. I have putabout 2K in to the car - the car has new front and rear Bilsteins, the gas tank has been boiled and is like new, oil/air filter change etc etc. Brakes are all set and tires are in good condition. It has the original first aid kit and took kit. In the tool kit some pieces are missing though you can find those all over the internet.

The only thing this car really needs is a new owner to enjoy it and to do to it whatever changes he or she sees fit.
