This European model was built in 1980 and was imported to the United States shortly after. US market headlights were fitted but the slim euro bumpers were retained. 14in BBS wheels are period correct and look the part. The 4.5L V8 engine is free of emission controls and is said to produce 225hp and 278lb-ft which was nearly the same amount of power as the larger US market 560SL model. Manual climate control and Becker Mexico stereo are other euro features that work well. The silver metallic paint and chrome trim are in excellent shape and the black leather interior is in great shape with a minor bit of wear on the seats. The factory matching hardtop fits well put has a few small stains on the head liner. The power windows work well and the car is also equipped with power steering power disc brakes independent rear suspension and more. The car was purchased as a summer cruiser from a family that had owned the car for over 20 years previously and the car is in excellent mechanical and driving shape.
