Rare 1979 Meceredes 380 SL

RARE MERCEDES!
I have not been able to find another one. It's considered a private import, which makes it a grey market car. I have service records and documents of the import, as well as a list of owners.
This car is a survivor. Original paint, no bondo and the original soft top (showing it's age). It has always started on the first turn of the key. The drivers side leather seat has worn through (see picture) and there are a couple dings on the passenger side door and I noticed a couple of rust spots just starting. The car does not drip oil. I did drive it.
Since this car is a euro, it's faster than the American model 380 which wasn't brought into the country until 1981. This car was imported into the United States via Texas.
It has always been kept in a heated garage and only driven when there is no rain. It has a sticker on the windshield, drivers side, that I'm told is for "George Bush's country club". (I don't know for sure ) If you look on the front picture you will see a banding mark on each front fender of the car. This was damage from the straps placement while getting shipped. I never had them removed because they are unique to the car.
It does get 18 MPG. It comes with a cart and cover to hold the hard top.
The last picture shows the fire extinguisher originally sold with the car.
I just don't have room for it anymore, but will keep it if I need to.
