Up for sale is this Exceptional Rust Free 1978 Mercedes 300 D. The car was a 1 owner car from Colorado and always garage kept and dealer serviced. The Owner turned 88 years old this year. He truly babied the car from day one and it show's. Its in pristine condition carrying it's Original paint that still looks like new. With only 64 k actual miles this W 123 300 d will last the new owner a lifetime. They don't built these car's like this anymore. The color Combination is Rare and Stunning. Don't let it get away.
The color is Called Pastel Blue and the paint is Stunning. It shines like new and has no imperfections. No checking or cracking its very glossy and show's like a newer car. The chrome trim on the car is excellent as is all the rubber trim. The under carriage is spotless as she was a Colorado car and in a dry environment . Nothing else to say then the car is amazing from top to bottom.
The blue MB text is in pristine condition. You will notice there is no wrinkles in the door panels the seats are very bright and firm with no foam gone. They feel amazing when you sit in them. The carpet is like new and still dark blue. The headliner is like new as well. The wood is excellent and glossy . The dash is beautiful with no cracks. Overall the interior show's like when new.
Inside the car you find the electronics to work properly. The window's all work, the Climate control switches from heat to Ice cold Ac. The Vacuum System is excellent and all the doors close with the key and the car shut off when you turn off the key without hesitation. The cluster is Beautiful and show's the car low mileage state. The needles are bright and no fading to the cluster at all. The car has an Aftermarket Kenwood Cd player which is new. It sounds great and the power antenna works as well. I do have the Original radio.
Mechanically she is a Gem. The car starts right up and idles like a watch. It does not smoke . It has a ton of power when driving the car down the road and the suspension feels great . The steering is very tight and the transmission shifts so smooth. The tires are new as are the brakes. The Oil was just changed Using Shell Rotella 15/40. New Oil filer and Air filter. New Fuel filter's . The glow plugs are excellent and all working. The fuel return lines are also new. The Ac was Converted to R 134 So it's all new and working perfect.
