This final year 230 SL is an excellent driver quality car that is ready to be enjoyed, as is, or be the perfect candidate to make into a true show car. The car runs great and is a pleasure to drive. There’s nothing like a 60’s SL with the top down on a beautiful day! It has a strong engine that loves to rev, a smooth shifting 4 speed manual transmission, and recently serviced Injectors, final drive, braking and steering systems. New parts on this car include a new clutch master cylinder, a remanufactured steering box, tie-rod ends, miscellaneous seals and gaskets to take care of leaks and a new distributor cap and points. The car is ready for a spirited drive up your favorite canyon road or a long highway cruise. Cosmetically, the exterior of the car is in good condition and draws attention wherever you go but the brightwork and paint would need to be redone to truly turn this car into a show quality example. It has the usual rock chips, swirl marks from washing and minor dings that one would expect from a car that has been used and enjoyed. The interior is in good condition. The seats, carpet, headliner and gauges are all very presentable with the only obvious signs of wear being minor cracks on the steering wheel a small rip in the leather of the horn button and a in dash clock that doesn’t keep time. The seat belts even still have their original tags from 1966!
