60's Mercedes Benz finny for parts. rusty 230 i6

1966 Mercedes-Benz 200-Series

This old Mercedes is a classic but should be considered for parts. It is very rusty. It ran fine when i parked it in the 80's however the mechanicals after sitting this long should be considered would need repairs. The interior however is in surprisingly good condition the pictures don't show it well. Might be a lot of hard to find parts for someone restoring a fin body. It's too good to scrap so am offering for sale. Mostly all complete. I can work with you on price. I just want to see it go to someone that is a fellow Mercedes fan. This car is in Illinois and will need to be picked up or transported from there. i want to make clear that i would not advise it wise car to restore. a person unless they could do all the work themselves could spend $200,000 on making it proper and correct and have a really nice car but it would be worth only at best $30,000. i wouldn't want to sell it to someone that gets themselves under with that. the value is in the parts on it. please don't consider buying it to drive or restore.
