1984 Mercedes-Benz 300-Series

Mercedes Benz 300TDT (Estate Wagon) W123 with the OM617.952 3.0L i5 turbo diesel. 125hp / 92kW @ 4350 rpm, torque 250 nm @ 2400 rpm. Good condition for it's age. Runs and drives good. All original including paint except for right rear quarter panel. It was repainted at some point but the past 2 PO's didn't know the story on it. Have owned it for 4 years. Was my daily driver for 2 years. Power windows, power steering, power brakes, cruise control (works some of the time), sunroof, original AM/FM radio, leather interior, Bundt wheels. Driven once a week now. Brake job done by MB dealer replacing Master Cylinder, 2 rotors, disc pads, and 1 caliper 6K miles ago. New tires 5k miles ago. Vacuum system has a leak somewhere. Radio doesn't work. Heater/AC blower needs replaced. Comes with NIB genuine MB blower motor. Dash in very good condition. One small crack by defrost vent on passengers side and small crack by ignition key. PO put a dash cover on it. Seats in excellent condition for age. No tears. Drivers seat sags a little on left side. The rest of the seats sit good. Headliner is good. Lift gate struts need replaced. Only rust is surface rust on a few paint chips, a little surface rust on drivers side rear fender flare and a little bit of rust on rear lower corner of drivers side rear window (see pics). No rust in doors or door jambs, or floorboards. Rear windows work but front windows will not. Suspect the switches in console are original and need replaced. Front and rear wipers work. All interior and exterior lights work with the exception of the dash lights. Suspect the bulb needs replaced. All gauges work except for analog dash clock. Manual sunroof works great and does not leak. Just recently replaced the battery with a new Interstate battery.
The car was originally bought in Europe by U.S. military personnel who drove it over there for about a year and then had shipped to U.S. It has spent the rest of it's life mostly in Oklahoma with a few years in Kansas. I believe I am the 4th owner.
Great survivor car to drive and fix as you go or excellent platform for total restoration.
