1973 Mercedes 450 SL Small Bumper
1973 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class
1973 MERCEDES 450SL
This is the iconic Mercedes 450SL it is the last year of the desirable small bumper design. It features both soft-top and hard top. It has 63,000 miles since new and shows as such. This car drives and stops solid like all old Mercedes do. The following work like they should:
Gauges all work
Internal and external lights and blinkers all work.
Spare and tools included
Aftermarket radio and speakers work great
Power windows work, glass is unscratched
Brakes stop well
Paint is very strong, shinny and in great shape with minor surface scratches near the back of the top
AC blows cold
Transmission shifts well
Motor cold starts with no smoke or incorrect noises
Windshield wipers work
Dash solid and no cracks
new spark plugs and wires
Now what I have found with the car that I would like to disclose:
The like new cloth top has a small scuff on the lower back corner it is just on the surface. Shown on picture.
One dash lamp is burned out.
Dent on back bumper shown in pictures.
2 Small dents on right side of car will also show in pictures. Easily removed with PDR.
Small paint chip on the hard top the size of a pencil eraser.
Weather stripping could be replaced but not cracked or bad and new weather-stripping for body will come with the car.
Stitching on passenger headrest coming apart, easily fixed.
This car lived its life in the dry southwest therefore there is no body rust or any signs of any repairs. The chrome is still bright. The repaint has held up well just look at the pictures. If you are looking for a nice weekend driver that will keep appreciating you have found your car. Bid with confidence!
