1986 Mercedes 190e 2.3 16v Cosworth

1986 Mercedes-Benz 190-Series

I bought this for a parts car but it is too nice to part out. It had been sitting for a while but started right up. It runs very well. It's is actually pretty quick for an automatic. There is some body rust but very solid underneath. I have attached all of the pics of the bad spots. There is a crease dent in the driver's side doors. There is also a dent in the passenger rear quarter. The trunk lid is the worst in terms of rust and should be replaced. Overall, pretty decent project with 121k miles. It has not been messed with at all and is completely original. The body cladding is all in great shape and the only part missing is the front tow hook cover.
Leaks trans fluid. SLS works but the shocks leak. It does not come with the wheels pictured but does have the original 15" alloys. The tires are very weather cracked. The rear brakes don't work. I suspect the calipers. That's pretty common when these sit. The drivers seat is nice but the passenger bottom is cracked. The top of the rear seat is split on the middle seams. Power seats work. Sunroof works. The cruise control works. The heat works but the blower motor does not. A/C does not work. All 4 windows work. The oil temp gauge works but the face is smashed. Lap timer is there but does not work. Original Becker radio does not work and looks to be damaged.
It has an IL title but I only have a signed copy. Easy fix in MI but not sure about other states. I have the title listed as rebuilt but it is a clear IL title. It's just not in my name.
I'm sure I missed some details but I strongly encourage you to come look at it. My opinion of condition might vary from yours.
Yes it can be driven home but the tires are unsafe and the rear brakes don't work.
