Original Signal Red (Signalrot) 2 previous owner 1989 560SL R107 Roadster. Last year of the 560SL and R107 series. All original body and drive train. Southern California Mercedes. Garage parked daily driver. I would trust this 560SL to drive anywhere right now. Original factory color with only one repaint and it was done professionally. No rust damage or previous body repairs. The hard top has the original paint and it is beautiful as shown. No fading or peeling/checking on any of the body or top or signs of aging. The body is in amazing condition as shown with no dents or dings. No rust underneath and it is all original and untouched. Zero cracks on the dash.
This is a safe driver. The instrument cluster all works properly. The oil pressure stays high and the original 5.6 V8 runs very smooth and quietly with a lot of power. No smoke or bad noises. The mounts and wear items have been replaced and it has been very well maintained.
It stays cool in heavy traffic and drives smoothly at all speeds. I took a few videos including a driving video, walk around video and a video showing how smooth the engine runs. Smooth on the freeway at all speeds. Suspension is tight and so is the steering. The lights and windows work as they should as do the indicators and dash lights. Radio system works properly and it sounds great.
I have the clear California title with it as shown in the photos. Comes with both original keys and original books with maintenance history since day one, as well as the data build card from Mercedes. It is a clean honest example with nothing to hide. Miles are original at 282k. Clean carfax with zero accidents. It has had proper maintenance to keep the mechanics in good shape. Spare tire and tool kit still in place.
I just took it out (2/23/17) and I took around 80 photos and a few videos to show it thoroughly. The original seat covers are worn. The cloth top is also worn. Tires were all recently replaced.
