Selling a 1974 Mercedes-Benz 450SLC. This is a NO RESERVE auction. This car has been sitting for a while, so the fuel in the tank has deteriorated. The engine starts and will run briefly. I have added some fuel treatment and will be adding additional fresh fuel to see if we can get it to start and run normally. The engine produces good oil pressure and the alternator is charging.
It has a brand new battery (purchased 2/4/17), the aluminum wheels are in like new condition and the tires were newly installed several years ago and have no wear and no dry rot at all. All of the glass is in tact with no visible cracks or chips. The body of the car has extensive rust all over the lower body. There is also some rust around the windshield, rear window and the rear of the car under the taillights. (see pictures). The brakes will also need work. The leather on the two front seats looks OK, but the back seat is in poor condition. This listing is an AS-IS sale with no warranties provided. Study the pictures carefully before bidding.
Terms of the sale are: A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due to be paid via PayPal within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The balance due must be paid in cash or by cashier's check within 14 days of the conclusion of the auction. The vehicle must be retrieved at the time of final payment.
