350 sl silver -black hard and rag top, with book claiming to be first of series

1973 Mercedes-Benz SL-Class soft and hard top convertible

Found in garage storage of the original owner. Shewas an influential person who wrote a book about herself, in which she claims this vehicle was the very first of this popular series to be sold in America. There was a waiting line for this new model and she used her influence to get the "first "one. It has low milage, I put on 400 mi after installing newfuel pump and battery. It runs well and is garaged in Rhode Island. It has all the condition issues of an unrestored car of this age. Rot, Filler from a fender bender, missing trim, etc. It has to be driven from, or picked up from, Rhode Island. Theconvertible top is included, but in bad condition. Buyer must arrange pick up. It is a beautiful machine. I live in NYC and can't keep a collectible car.
